How can we help?

How to play Chomp Drop, tips, answers to common questions, how to report an ad, and how to reach us.

How to play

  1. Hold and slide

    Hold a finger on the screen. Your monster runs toward it, and stops when you lift your finger.

  2. Slip through the gaps

    Bars fall in rows with a gap in each. Touching a bar ends the run.

  3. Chomp cubes

    Each cube is worth 2 points. Grab the snail to slow everything down.

Tips

  • Every cube is worth 2 points. Grab the ones near the gap!
  • Your monster runs to your finger. Lift your finger and it stops.
  • Snails slow everything down. Chomp them when you can!
  • Slide under the next gap early: rows come faster the longer you last.

Questions

Why does my monster stop?

It only moves while your finger is on the screen. Keep holding and slide to where you want it to go.

What does the snail do?

Chomping the snail slows the falling rows down. They pick up speed again as you pass more rows.

Why is my monster a different colour?

Every run picks one of 9 candy colours for the monster, the bars, the walls and the cubes.

Is it really free?

Yes. Chomp Drop is free to play, and there is nothing to buy. Everything in the game is available from the start. The iPhone and iPad app is supported by ads, which only appear between runs, never while you play. The web version has no ads.

When do ads appear?

Only between runs, and only in the iPhone and iPad app. After a game over you can choose to watch a short video for a Second Chance (WATCH AD · SECOND CHANCE, once per run; free when no video is available). Now and then a full-screen ad plays after a finished run, behind a short AD BREAK screen: never in your first 5 runs, at most every 2nd run and at least 3 minutes apart. The main menu also shows a small banner. Ads never appear while you play, and they are limited to G-rated content.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Chomp Drop works fully offline, so it plays fine on a plane or with mobile data switched off. Ads, including the optional videos, need a connection, so offline they simply do not appear. Your Second Chance is then free.

Where is my progress saved? Can I lose it?

Your Top 10, best score and settings stay on your device. It is saved on your device the moment it changes. There is no cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes your progress, and it does not move to a new device unless a backup or a phone-to-phone transfer brings the app data along.

Can I play on iPad?

Yes. Chomp Drop is made for iPhone and iPad. The game fills the whole screen on both, with the same reaction distance.

What does Reduce motion do?

It tones down moving effects such as screen shake and particle bursts. It follows your device's Reduce Motion setting until you change it in the game's Settings.

Does the game collect any data?

The game keeps your progress only on your device and sends nothing to us. In the iPhone and iPad app, Google AdMob collects some device data to show and measure ads, such as your IP address and, only if you allow tracking, your advertising identifier. The web version collects nothing. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I report an ad?

In the app, open Settings and tap Report an ad, or email us (see Report an ad on this page). Tell us the game, when you saw the ad and what it showed, and add a screenshot if you can. We block reported ads so they are not shown again.

How do I change tracking or my privacy choices?

Tracking: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Privacy & Security > Tracking, and switch Chomp Drop on or off. Consent in the UK and Switzerland, and the US "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out: open Settings in the game and tap Privacy choices (it appears only where your region requires it). The game plays the same whatever you choose.

Who is Chomp Drop made for?

A general audience. Chomp Drop is rated 4+ on the App Store, and it is not directed at children under 13. Ads in the app are limited to G-rated content, and there is no chat, no sign-up and no way to contact other players. Parents with a question about a child's data can email us.

Report an ad

Saw an ad in Chomp Drop that seems inappropriate, offensive or not right for a general audience? Please tell us. Ads in the iPhone and iPad app are limited to G-rated content, and your report helps us block anything that slips through. (The web version has no ads.)

Email us and include:

  • the game (Chomp Drop) and your device (iPhone or iPad);
  • the date and roughly what time you saw the ad;
  • what the ad showed or advertised (the brand or app name helps most);
  • a screenshot, if you can take one.

We read every report and block the ad in our Google AdMob account so it is not shown again. In the app, Settings › Report an ad opens this section.
