How can we help?

How to play Leapline, tips, answers to common questions, how to report an ad, and how to reach us.

How to play

  1. Watch the line

Your cube follows the dotted track by itself and picks up the coins on it.

  2. Tap to hop

Tap anywhere to hop over a single yellow tile. Landing on a tile ends the run.

  3. Hold to fly

Keep your finger down to float over a row of tiles. Let go to come down sooner.

Tips

  • Single tiles need a tap; rows of three need a hold.
  • A tap made a split second before landing still counts: the cube jumps the moment it lands. Landing on a tile still ends the run.
  • Portals send you to a different exit, so watch where you come out.
  • Each loop of the track is faster than the last. A banner shows the new loop and speed.
  • Two thumbs work too: the hold belongs to the finger that started the jump.

Controls and settings

Pause
The pause button at the top right. The game also pauses when you leave the app and counts down 3-2-1 when you come back.
Settings
The gear button on the home screen: Sound effects, Vibration (on devices that support it) and Reduce motion.
Cubes
The cube button on the home screen. Unlock cubes with coins and choose the one you ride.
After a run
Tap RETRY or anywhere on the screen to go again, or MENU to go home.
Bonus coins
In the iPhone and iPad app, the game-over card can offer WATCH AD with a coin bonus: watch a short video to the end and the coins are yours, once per run and up to 6 times a day. It is optional; RETRY skips it.
Ads and privacy
In the iPhone and iPad app, Settings also has Report an ad and, where your region requires it, Privacy choices for your ad consent and privacy options. The Privacy policy and Support links are there too.

Questions

Why did I crash when I tapped?

A tap hops over one tile. A row of tiles needs a hold. Landing on a tile always ends the run, even if you pressed again just before.

How do I unlock new cubes?

Collect coins during runs, then open the cube screen from the home screen. Each cube shows its price; the game-over card shows how close you are to the next one. In the iPhone and iPad app, the optional WATCH AD button on that card adds bonus coins.

Is there music?

Leapline has sound effects only. Turn them off in Settings.

Is it really free?

Yes. Leapline is free to play, and there is nothing to buy. Cubes are unlocked with coins you collect while playing. In the iPhone and iPad app, an optional video after a run can add bonus coins, but every cube can be earned just by playing. The iPhone and iPad app is supported by ads, which only appear between runs, never while you play. The web version has no ads.

When do ads appear?

Only between runs, and only in the iPhone and iPad app. After a game over you can choose to watch a short video for bonus coins (the WATCH AD button, up to 6 a day). Now and then a full-screen ad plays after a finished run, behind a short AD BREAK screen: never in your first 5 runs, at most every 3rd run and at least 3 minutes apart. The main menu also shows a small banner. Ads never appear while you play, and they are limited to G-rated content.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Leapline works fully offline, so it plays fine on a plane or with mobile data switched off. Ads, including the optional videos, need a connection, so offline they simply do not appear.

Where is my progress saved? Can I lose it?

Your best score, coins and cubes stay on your device. It is saved on your device the moment it changes. There is no cloud sync, so deleting the app deletes your progress, and it does not move to a new device unless a backup or a phone-to-phone transfer brings the app data along.

Can I play on iPad?

Yes. Leapline is made for iPhone and iPad. Phones and iPads show the same stretch of track ahead, so neither gets an easier view.

What does Reduce motion do?

It tones down moving effects such as screen shake and particle bursts. It follows your device's Reduce Motion setting until you change it in the game's Settings.

Does the game collect any data?

The game keeps your progress only on your device and sends nothing to us. In the iPhone and iPad app, Google AdMob collects some device data to show and measure ads, such as your IP address and, only if you allow tracking, your advertising identifier. The web version collects nothing. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I report an ad?

In the app, open Settings and tap Report an ad, or email us (see Report an ad on this page). Tell us the game, when you saw the ad and what it showed, and add a screenshot if you can. We block reported ads so they are not shown again.

How do I change tracking or my privacy choices?

Tracking: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Privacy & Security > Tracking, and switch Leapline on or off. Consent in the UK and Switzerland, and the US "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out: open Settings in the game and tap Privacy choices (it appears only where your region requires it). The game plays the same whatever you choose.

Who is Leapline made for?

A general audience. Leapline is rated 4+ on the App Store, and it is not directed at children under 13. Ads in the app are limited to G-rated content, and there is no chat, no sign-up and no way to contact other players. Parents with a question about a child's data can email us.

Report an ad

Saw an ad in Leapline that seems inappropriate, offensive or not right for a general audience? Please tell us. Ads in the iPhone and iPad app are limited to G-rated content, and your report helps us block anything that slips through. (The web version has no ads.)

Email us and include:

  • the game (Leapline) and your device (iPhone or iPad);
  • the date and roughly what time you saw the ad;
  • what the ad showed or advertised (the brand or app name helps most);
  • a screenshot, if you can take one.

We read every report and block the ad in our Google AdMob account so it is not shown again. In the app, Settings › Report an ad opens this section.
